Heeeey you guyyyyyys!!
It has been a heart-breaking minute. Sometimes we just have to pull back, so we can jump ahead…and that is exactly what we’ve been doing. Lets see, since I saw you last, we have:
Partnered with some awesome local non-profits to bring our online efforts closer to home.
Secured a home office, allowing a for more organization, consistency and LITERALLY putting us on the map.
Completed 80 % of a total rebranding effort, fine tuning our message and expanding our reach.
Produced 4 Womens Leadership Luncheons & 1 Roadtrip Retreat, creating events for fellowship and personal growth.
Are one week away from completing our initial Oola training, allowing us to offer more robust materials to support your personal rebuild.
And we are not stopping there!
As we walk through this healing journey together, we will be honing our efforts in on four (4) key areas of the rebuilding process: self-care, growth, adventure and security.
Today, we are going to talk about ADVENTURE!! I know it might sound silly when we are still just trying to stop the tears or focused on paying the light bill or just trying to get out of bed today…BUT I found my healing in adventure and we are confident you will too. Don’t believe me?
The purpose of life is to live it, to taste it, to reach out eagerly and without fear for richer experiences. – Eleanor Roosevelt
Here are 10 reasons why adventure is the perfect partner to any healing process:
Try something new – it gives us the opportunity to step outside of ourselves, our norm, our routine and do something we might not have the opportunity to experience otherwise.
There is no age limit – you are never too young and never too old to experience your first or your 1,000th adventure.
Expand your brain power – not only will you learn new stuff, but your brain will take in oxygen and this new activity will help to ward off mental deficiencies or memory loss.
Good for your overall health – whether inside or outside, up or down, day or night…the excitement of a new experience can be just what the doctor ordered when it comes to warding off things such as heart disease, diabetes, OCD, anxiety and/or depression.
Strengthens your coping skills – every situation calls for some level of adaptability. Since we are having to adjust to whatever life is throwing at us, why not make it a little bit easier by greasing the flexibility gears just a bit.
Soothes your inner child – the little girl that we are working so hard to protect.
Helps us reflect – whatever is happening in your life, takes processing. Unfortunately, we can get so “busy” that we are distracted from actually giving whatever it is the attention it deserves. Removing ourselves from the day to day allows for a clear mind and a new perspective.
Builds confidence – When we find the courage to try something new, suddenly we find the courage to do all kinds of things! Take that first step and see what amazing things can happen.
Cultivates a dying desire to explore – too many people have stopped having adventures. Our children are tied to the internet, our grandchildren the Tik Tok…we must set the example of exploration.
Reduces regret – Mark Twain said, “20 years from now you’ll be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do, than by the things that you did. Explore. Dream. Discover.”
Soooo, to help you, help yourself AND alleviate all the excuses…The Infuse Project is proud to bring you:
The Adventure Series is exactly that…a series of beginner style (no experience needed) adventures, designed to help you break out of your shell, and begin experiencing life a it should be…in 3D!
