I wasn't sure if you wanted me to post it or you. Isn't that just so me?
This poem was written the day after the Pulse Nightclub shooting. The pain of the mothers waiting to hear if their child made it out safely was so palatable and intense. I could not imagine. My heart, like so many of us, was breaking and the pain was real. These few words gave voice to those emotions. I think of the woman I saw on the news waiting to hear about her beautiful son, she screamed, "I haven't heard, I NEED to hear" - I think of her gut wrenching screams, her unrelenting fear, and how her life was forever changed in those hours of waiting. I wanted to jump through the TV and hold her. I pray she has found comfort and that she has a strong network of people to lean into and on.
Thank you for posting Joey and building strong network I am proud to be part of ....love Pam.
